Great app! Need I say more?

I’ve been using this “paid” app for a while with no problems at all. Then a couple of weeks ago it just started crashing upon opening the app. I sent the author two FYI’s and they have failed to reply on either which leaves me very disgruntled with there tech support! They could at least reply saying “were working on it” or something but again, not a word, which seems to be the rule when it comes to Customer Service and Tech support. I do not recommend this app until at least they come out with a newer version that fixes whatever is wrong with this app.

This is, by far my favorite calculator app. The tape feature is seriously handy. However, I have to be honest. I only noticed the problem others are having with editing numbers after reading other reviews just now and then trying it myself. Doesn’t seem to work. It would be nice to be able to edit a number in a long series without having to re-enter all the numbers. I was going to give it 5-stars. But for this issue not working, I can only give it 4. It’s still well worth the price—at least for me.

This app is very expensive, but I was willing to pay the price because it’s the only calculator that meets my needs for a tape. When I found that you cannot edit an entry I was incredulous. Can I get a refund?

Program worked great until update 1.3.3. Now it says “This application is not allowed to print. Please contact your application vendor for an update.” Web site and email down for Kiltish software. Who is Bearded.io?

FINALLY!!! After a little over a year the app has been updated! YAY! It finally does what it’s supposed to do. Works great! I’ve updated my rating to 5 stars!!! ---- I’ve submitted a question to the developers about an issue I’m having so I’ll post an update if/when they get back with me. This app works great so far. Easy to use. I mean, it’s a calculator/tenkey, how hard can it really be? The only issue I’m having is with editing a line item. If you make a mistake, there is no way to edit the value. You’re supposed to be able to doubleclick an item and edit it. OR, rightclick an item and then edit the value. Unfortunately, at this time, there is a bug that won’t let you do that. If you make a mistake, be prepared to start all over. Obviously there is an easy work around, create a negative value for the mistake and then make the correction, but wouldn’t it be simpler to just edit the value? I’ll update my rating once they fix the bug or at least get back to me. Hope this helps.

This product is effective and intuitive. Simply, this app does exactly what I need it to do and advertises from my point of view.

This current version apparently addressed a few bugs which others ran into. My main reason for getting this app a few years back was I could have a virtual tape to review my values entered, and then print the tape. Since the last update in October to 1.3.3, the print function is gone (it gives a message that it’s not allowed). Since that time, the developer web site is also displaying the same message: "Making Things Better. Sorry! We are tinkering in the background and making improvements. Well be back momentarily. Thank you!” Sadly, I’ve started to look for a replacement. My hope is the developer recovers from whatever dilemma he or she faces, and we can see this app fixed. Will bump back to 5 stars if I can start printing the ‘tapes’ again. In the meantime I keep reloading my backup copy of version 1.3.2 after it gets automatically updated.

The only calculator app that functions as a true 10 key.

First of all, thank you for the most excellent update! Love being able to correct an entry and add inline notes. I am unable to print, however. Like another reviewer wrote, an error message of “This application is not allowed to print” pops up. It says to ‘contact your application vendor for an update.’ So here I am reporting my concern. When the printing issue is fixed, you will go to a 5 star rating because this is the closest thing I’ve found to Windows Judy’s Ten-Key. I have attempted to get into online support, but the site is always down. PLEASE fix this issue!

I only wish I could add a notation for each line item prior to printing. Im adding by hand now. Updating my rating…strike ‘and it prints!’, ‘cause now it doesn’t. Developer seems to be AWOL. Still functions as a 10key, only without the hard copy. My workaround is to do a screen shot then print. Hope it gets fixed at some point.

YAY Now it prints again!!!

Ability to view and print thr "tape" of entries is invaluable for record-keeping. Display reg negatives is a plus, too. Definitely worth the price.

I use Tape Calc everyday and think it’s the best calc app on the app store!!
